Dear Challengers,
From today a very new challenge site is participating in the global ranking: Rosecode.
It offers math and programming challenges only, and new interesting problems shall be added frequently, so it is similar to project euler.
Most problems require you to code a bit to compute the correct answers, but knowledge of math is most often required to come up with an efficent algorithm that can solve a problem within reasonable time.
Many thanks go out to elasolova for writing the needed scripts, and i wish all others:
Happy Challenging!

Black Zero is participating
Dear Challengers,
I am happy to announce that Black Zero has implemented the scoring and account scripts now, and is contained in the rankings
In case you wonder why it is displayed as 2nd "newest sites", this is because the database row was inserted some time ago already.
Black Zero unique, as they introduce a new challenge category here: Lock-Picking.
For solving Lock-Picking challs you need to create a video explaining your steps while picking a lock, which has to match certain criteria.
These videos can then be watched on the website by the users.
They also offer challs from many other sections, putting them in 3 main cateogeries: Hacking, Coding and LockPicking. (Hey the first two are favorites!)
Many thanks go out to TrueHacker for great feedback and implementing the needed scripts.
Have fun checking the site out and i wish you:
Happy Challenging!

We are happy to announce...
that osix.net joined our network.
The site has been around for many years and offers currently 46 well chosen challenges, focused on reversing, cryptography, programming and math.
osix, the open source institute, is well known to the older players, and has nice papers about security and similar topics.
Many thanks go out to barnseyboy for implementing the needed scripts.

Finally http://hax.tor.hu is put into the participating/active sites.
Our first hungarian site is in english and has 50 levels/challs, which seem fun, well chosen and creative.
To make progress on hax.tor you have to solve the challenges in a linear order, 1 by 1.
All in all we got very good response for the challenges there, where quite a few are from the "exploit" section.
Also every registered user gets an instant shell account on a fast co-located Debian Linux box.
Unlimited subdomains, custom virtualhosts, procmail, TOR connection tunnel and gigabit connectivity.
Many thanks go out to its admin haxtor for implementing the needed scripts.
Happy challenging and have fun checking out the site !

I am happy to announce:
hack.thebackupbox.net joined the wechall network.
This site is a bit different from the other sites listed here.
First, the site is hosted on one of epoch_qwert's boxes at home, so the connection is sometimes a bit slow.
Secondly the challenges differ a lot from the usual stuff here;
thebackupbox offers "shell" challenges.
You connect via SSH to the (NetBSD) box and exploit programs to escalate priviledges.
Many thanks for joining us and
Happy Challenging !

WeChall is on a site joining spree. (forgive us slight layout glitches in the next days)
More and more cool sites are participating to the project.
PHMaster is the 1st polish site that wanted to join us, but technical issues delayed the task, so they are 2nd ;)
Many Thanks go out to PHmaster and vieshieck for implementing the needed scripts and their patience.
Happy Challenging !

We are happy to announce:
3564020356.org joined our network.
This site is quite tough; You have to solve the challenges in order to proceed and don't expect a walk in the park.
For myself i waited a long time for this quality site to join.
Greetings and many thanks go out to +Ma as well as pyrocow for adding the scripts.

New Site and Ranking Changes
I am happy to announce...
https://www.tdhack.com joined as the first polish site on wechall.
Many thanks go out to grimskies for implementing the scripts.
Have fun checking out their site, which is a nicely modded phpbb.
With more sites joining we are thinking about the look and feel of displaying the data.
We will soon introduce a new kind of ranking; ranking by language.
The old global ranking will not display 21 or more different site icons, instead you get presented language scoring there (we are working on a nice looking and informative global ranking).
The old ranking style(with icons) will be shown in seperate pages for each language.
